In September 2009, a compilation album will hit the charts hard. 18 Dutch and Belgian bands and artists have covered songs written by Serge Gainsbourg, invited to do so by Dutch deejay Guuzbourg.
The CD 'Gainsnord' will be lounged in Paradiso, Amsterdam, September 18. To hear what 'les Spinshots' did exclusively for this compilation, visit www.fillessourires.com/gainsnord - Better do it now! It's a blast!
Other contributions by, amongst others, Juicebox, West Hell Five, Tom Barman (of dEUS), Eddy de Dlercq, Leine, and Janne Schra

In september 2009, deejay and well-known French pop connoisseur Guuzbourg will present his choice of Dutch bands covering the French maestro. There will be a party in rocktemple Paradiso, with some of the singers performing live, backed up by the Amsterdam phenomenon West Hell 5, a sleazy 50's/60's combo that even dared to cover 'Je t'aime'.
The Spinshots covered, especially for this occasion, Gainsbourgs 'Qui est 'in', qui est 'out' See the original video: If you'd like to hear what we did, be sure to keep yourself updated in september. Amongst the contributions are covers by West Hell 5, Juicebox and Leine. We're also very happy to announce that much-appreciated comicstrip artist Hanco Kolk (Meccano, Gilles de Geus, s1ngles) will do the cover.
But for the people helping us (studio personnel, mixers etc) our own guitarist Martin Draax designed a cover for the cover haha

We made a clip for our song Désirs Mutuels. Natasha Cloutier of Radio Oh Lala translated the lyric into French, while we could attract Inge Voskamp of Poolse Vis to do the coaching. We're very proud of the result, have a look:
Dear member of press... If you need hi-res pictures of the Spinshots you can download some here
Please don't forget to mention the photographer: the folders indicate their names.
If you're interested, you can listen to the four songs we played at radio 5/llink/desmet on March 10, 2008...
It's unplugged, it's the Spinshots light, and it's quite a novelty, so prick up your ears!
Enjoy!
The song of our videoclip Désirs Mutuels:
Here are the four songs you'll find in high quality sound on our CD ‘The Cleanz-o-tech EP’:
Spoken bridge in Cleanz-o-tech by Boyd Small
These are two songs from our first demo:
Played by the Spinshots, recorded by Marcel de Rooij and mixed by Siebe Posthuma de Boer. Trumpet by Siebe Posthuma de Boer, Drums by Wilf Plum.
And these are a bit older (with Edwin Slothouber on drums and Mark van der Drift op Bass, produced by Thijs de Melker (teejay prod):
Don and Dave's Sit and See it Happen Show
and here is an unofficial production (recorded by Hamy and Siwan of SAE Amsterdam)
All songs were written by Martin Draax

Here's the situation: the Spinshots get on stage with some instrumentals... Notice Mikkel reading Trompey's music...
It's getting hot on stage pretty rapidly...
and then our suave singer Flora Dolores walks on stage to be the centre of our show...
getting the boys concentrated again on their music. Things are getting sweet...
Very sweet...
But hey! We're the Spinshots! Wild and exciting Rhythm and Tunes!
Sure this is the band you want to be in.
and the responce of the audience is overwhelming.
So it's time for Flora Dolores to show what she learned at the Shri Krishna Kumar Dance Academy in Pondichery.
See? Making music can be fun!
I mean, if you're not in love now, you're probably dead.
and then it's time to get really tight!
Although some still hang lose.
Alright folks! that's it for now!
